I may be wrong but I dont think there is a UK dealer willing to alter your CCF. I'll be very happy if someone can prove me wrong however Thumbs Up

Why wouldn't they do it? Question

It's a relatively routine procedure that does not carry a huge risk. If, for instance, you wanted a dealer to fit some driving lamps for you, they would enable them in the CCF. Thumbs Up

I flashed mine only yesterday. Wink Freelander 2 2007 TD4 Manual HSE Tambora Flame

I don't know about the Uk regulations but in Australia they have to be automatic self levelling to be legal, full stop. We don't have yearly inspections but if a cop pulls you over then you'll be given a defect sticker and that's when the fun and games would commence. But I think the cops wouldn't even worry about a Landrover, lol. Laughing
We have 18yo driving around in 6.8 litre Supercharged SS Holdens so I think a Freelander 2 might just escape their attention. Shocked

Because if they were plug and play we would all be doing the mod and JLR would lose out

By having to have the ECU etc reprogammed they are banking on you going back to JLR and paying them a tidy sum to do it.

its a money making feature, thats not listed on the spec sheet

I have Xenons in mine and they were just plug and play. Mind you, the person on here that I bought them from had had some trick wiring done inside the headlamp housing. There is a direct 12V fused feed to both lamps and a standard relay fitted inside the housing. Works fine. Thumbs Up

Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 TD4_e Dynamic Manual Fuji White

Well guys maybe it's just meant to be xenons for me Laughing I initially ordered a pair of halogens to get the blacked out headlight reflector - MY15 headlights! However Duckworths sent out a drivers UK and a passager EU headlight. This morning I will phone them and tell them to take the lights back and instead will pay the difference for MY15 xenons Cool

I've noticed in the hand book it states that xenon bulbs should only be replaced by a dealer is this still the case? Reason I'm asking is that it's be mentioned on here that the lights are not a crisp white and I may change them to a 6000 or 8000 kelvin rating before I fit them Wink

Cheers to all for the advice Thumbs Up

XENON LAMPS
Replacement or maintenance of Xenon lamps should only be carried out by suitably qualified personnel.
High voltage is required to ignite the gas and metal vapour which are used to power Xenon lamps. Contact with this voltage can cause serious injury.
Xenon lamp units operate at a very high temperature. Ensure that the lamp units have cooled before attempting to touch them.
Xenon lamp units contain Mercury which is highly toxic and can be extremely harmful. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

4300k will get you the most light output. Go for 5000k if you must but above that you will only be reducing the output. 8000k would be considerably blue too so may attract the attention of the police also. Wink Freelander 2 2007 TD4 Manual HSE Tambora Flame
