thinking off making a raised air intake,
would anyone have a idea. On smallest pipe I could use without restricting air intake
I was hoping 60mm what you think ?

Did they make them for the 2 kitted out G4 spec FL2 that were made ?

Maybe speak to Mantec or Safari for some options on dimensions etc

60mm diameter doesn't sound big enough.

It'll need to be bigger than the existing air pipes under the bonnet. That's because the total pipe run is being increased, and you don't want the overall resistance to increase if at all possible.

Doesnt look as if G4 specs included an intake for the FL2

Well clicking on that link indicates on the parts and supplier list that Mantec DID INDEED supply a Raised Air Intake for that specific vehicle!  Foraging near Gaydon....

I did speak to mantec today they may make one in the future

If you are getting that deep to require a Snorkle, you may want to think about carrying some Oars and having the windows open, you may have a problem with actually getting traction at these depths as it will start to float. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

It would be nice not to change my air filter after one day's outing

This well known video shows one crossing Tong Lake, it isn't deep enough to get to the intake on the near side wing, but you can see it bobbing in places.

I think you'll find that water will piddle inside the car through the steering column grommet and the main harness bulkhead grommets. That's if they are fitted correctly.
If you don't mind soaking wet carpets.......... Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

No I disagree, I have had a air box with Walter in/ and clips of mud it's only a matter of time till I kill it
Or fit a snolkal
I have had wet carpets all ready, they dry
I think it's a great car off road
I just need to change a couple off bits to improve it
