Search "Catch Can" It is basically a 'can' spliced into the existing pipe from the sump to the air inlet, designed to catch any oil vapors and so prevent them from entering the air intake area of the motor. As well as the EGR blanking, this also gives a much cleaner intake area and less/no clogging of 'the works' |

With this configuration, that is, eliminating the vapor engine oil into the combustion chambers increases the dynamic efficiency of the engine and reduces fuel consumption of about 0.4 L / 100km. try it ............ |

Hello Richp then the black tube is the tube that comes from the engine and enters the engine oil in the tank vapor condensation, li l 'oil settles, the transparent tube instead download the residual pressure in' the air under the car . |

I feel lower consumption (but as I've just blanked the EGR with a plate, and did not drive enough to have real values) But what I can say is the values returned from my ODB2 dongle : the Engine load decreases significantly and the Vol Effiency increases by 10-15% to be around 85% avg - 70-75% previously) => I can expect better MPG. ECU shows lower consumption, but I'm not driving as usual for the moment... And I've changed the auto gear oil (can modify the engine load, but not Vol Efficiency....) I have a 2008 FL2 auto gear, and it is just an EGR blanking plate without ECU remapping needed |

So, if I have this right, fit an EGR blanking plate and then remap the ECU to switch off the sensor so the car does not throw a dicky fit?
