Dead battery, Dead Ipac

My Dad called me and told me he had some start issues on hees car. battery allmost dead. It barly cranked and it gave up. he called for help and got a service man out and jup started it, and it started just fine. he was adviced to frive for atleast 30 mins. While he drove the Ipac died on him. When I got home to have a look @ it, i started the engine and it was ideling. Nothin on the Ipac.. completly dead. I drove it without seatbelt and no bing bing sound:

I was about to plug in the SDD to check for fault codes, but then i thought that i could do a Hard reset with the battery cables. So I did went back in to the car and started it up. all back to normal. Should I plug in the SDD to check anything or is this normal that the ipac just dies like that when the battery has gone flat?

I wouldn't worry about it they seem to throw up gremlins like this when battery gets low.

the problem could be caused by too much dust on the dashboard Laughing

There are some connectors in the footwell that can come loose and cause the dashboard to go blank - see this post for more details: http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic22362.html

If it happens again it would be worth checking they're secure.

Cheers for info guys, this was battery related.I was afraid the service man jumped the car with 24v from hees truck. Like they did on my old peugeot partner when the battery where flat, But then again it was -26c outside.

Ill keep those connectors in memmory just to be ready if it fails.

I have a happy dad now..

Cheers guys.
