Because it started to go wrong when the in-tank pump packed in we've assumed the problem was fuel related but we can't find a fault. When it cuts out it won't re-start until the key is removed and replaced which suggests electrical. All the sensors appear to be ok and the only fault codes are something like "injector open circuit" |

If you need to remove and replace the fob sounds like an immobiliser problem. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

Sometimes codes lie. I had the "injector" fault code on my old TD5 when it stopped suddenly. Turned out the ECU was screwed and sending out false codes. Are you sure your ECU is OK? John

Check CAT, it can block exhaust if brick becomes detached or even silencer itself.

Try the crankshaft position sensor - had similar issues with momentary cutting out under hard acceleration and also "normal" running. Changing the sensor is a 15 minute job, retail they are about £40 - don't buy an ebay one - its the one sensor that stops the engine dead! |

One of mine used to cut out, just like the ignition was turned off then on again, usually do it under acceleration which made it worse, no codes stored, turned out to be the Relucter Ring breaking up. |

Thanks for the great suggestions. The ecu as been checked but the result was inconclusive? There does appear to be a water mark on the circuit board. The crank sensor appears to be ok so the ecu is looking very suspect. Luckily it's under warranty!!! |

i have some wierd going on whit my car. Sometimes when i shift to neutral, or press the clutch to roll forward. Car RPM drops under 750rpm, its like stalling if u can call it so. its feels like its going to backpower, or going to shutdown. I have to push pedal abit to keep it running, and when i push the pedal it feels like slowmotion, it wont rev up so fast. Would this be throttle body fault or any ideas? |

Had a similar problem on a Peugeot 307 it was a split pipe which works the turbo actuator the small diameter ones, used to rev the car hard and it would cut out.Turn ignition off then restart all ok |

Sound like EGR, if you search and read a few threads it might be that you are experiencing something similar. |
