Too cold for heated screen?

On Thursday morning (-2 deg), heated screen worked normally. Yesterday (-5deg), it didn't work at all. The dealer says it's because it was too cold. Has anyone else experienced this?

Had a new screen fitted today by Auto Windcreens, they laid a tape like thermometer on the screen, (like the ones you see on fish tanks) switch the screen on, watch the coulours change as it warms up, same on the other side.
Also guaranteed for life whilst I own it, including the elements as long as the elements don't fail due to chips.

Did they fit a genuine screen or a cheap copy with less elements in?

Ask your dealer for proof, it must be written down somewhere in his dealership know your product note book

Mine is being done next week... I'll look out for the temperature test.

Cracked in the centre(ish) of the near side wiper blade between bottom edge of glass and a small chip 1- 12cm higher.
