2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Orkney Grey
Pinging noise on start up

Ok please dont take the pee too much but I cant find this in the manual.

Ocassionally when I start the car the dashboard pings at me but doesnt show any messages. I thought it only happened below 4degrees when the frost warning light came on, but it happened the other day when I had no warning lights or messages.

Does my car just like to randomly ping or is it actually telling me something

Mine also does it sometimes and not temperature related, not whether I put seat belt on first before pressing start, I just just ignore it.

Mines bong free, doesn't ever bong even if 0 degrees, no seat belt, anything. Can't say I'm in the least bothered.
