I often see these heading down to Southampton, usually a few on the Dock at Southampton awaiting shipment.

Many years ago I worked for a Japanese car importer and a transporter ship went down near Gibraltar. They were only interested in salvaging the ship & so pushed all the vehicles out and left them at the bottom of the sea. |

wasn't there a car transported that sank in the channel a few years ago that was salvaged by cutting it into chunks with a huge cheese wire?

I read somewhere that a JCB digger bucket swung loose and punched a hole in the hull but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere since. |
