Thanks Paul. That does look good value. Is the viewing screen switched off during recording? I guess it would be distracting at night if not!

No it does stay on but it's quite dull so it doesn't bother me,I'm sure they do one without the screen . |

I have that one for my forward facer. Brilliant for the money! Get a decent SD for it.

I would opt for the one without GPS as the main Dashcam already has GPS. I just need to double check I've got a 12V socket in the boot... LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

It might be too cheap, but at £30 it will also have a years warranty and at that sort of money it's replaceable if it messes up

Sorry my bad I have a blackvue in the front but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a rear one so I opted for this one.The image quality is very good for the price reading number plates no problem and the image is very stable,I thought it might be a bit shaky with that mount but it isn't at all.Dont knock it till you've tried it. |

I think he means when he had the Blackvue for the dashcam, he wanted just a cheaper one for the rear facing camera. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |

Well I've found the second 12V socket so I have made a purchase. It is just behind the handbrake, facing the rear passenger seats. There should be enough cable to route it neatly around from the camera to the socket.
