United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Lago Grey
Hello and advice please

Just waved goodbye to my Defender of seven years and looking forward to comfy days in F2 from Jan 5 when I pick up my GS.
Being skilled with spanners I need to know which workshop manual you guys would recommend?
Also any advice on sourcing/fitting rear spoiler
I'll also be fitting roof bars and have read threads on here which make it sound a bit more complicated than a mere bolt on job.
looking forward to hassle-free relationship with F2 and endless hours of free entertainment and bedtime reading on here.................at least until I trade in back to Defender!!😃.
Seasons greetings. Ff.

Hi Rami
You will get a better response posting in the general or technical threads, this is just a 'hello' thread.

Re post your question there and I am sure you will get answers along with searching for your problem Thumbs Up

In the meantime, have a look here http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic10246.html and where you are flying the flag of Israel can't be easy Whistle

Hi All,

Well, I've joined the fold, after buying OH's FL2, he's bought a defender and I'm about to advertise the D3. Well and truly LR Ffans you could say!

I've been a member for years on d3 sister site but thought I'd say hi on here as my new forum home!

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e S Manual Barolo Black
Hi All

Hi Folks,
just wanted to say hello to the FL2 community & to thank you all for the very detailed information posted about all manner of subjects relating to the car. This was very helpful to me today while fitting a Garmin satnav which involved the removal of the fascia & tapping into the fuse board in the foot well. The step by step method on the technical forum gave me the confidence to have a go & the job went without issue so, thanks again.
I attach a photo of the fitted satnav & I think it looks very good. The photo doesn't show it very clearly, but the height is spot on & width is 5mm less than the width of the cubby meaning it can be easily removed with a key when the unit needs updating.
This is my first 4WD & I'm really getting into it. Just bought a second hand roof tent to do some spring camping in but I do need to buy some roof rails to fit it onto so, if anyone is selling a set please let me know.
I'll post some pic's after the first trip.
Cheers,
Pip

Helloooo!

Should be collecting a 2010 HSE on Friday after about 10 years without a green oval.

It's going to be a novelty to have a LandRover that has leather innards. And heating. And door locks for that matter Wink

Hi cqr, the satnav is a Garmin nuvi 2569 LMT-D, from Halfords. Chosen firstly because it' a good fit, but also because the power is fed in at the back so I just had enlarge the existing hole in the cubby & feed the power supply in through there.
Cheers, Pip

Hello

Looking at getting a freelander 2. I'm a longtime fan of the defender but need a 4x4 with some creature comforts as it will need to do some motorway runs from London to Cornwall.

I'm looking to trade in my Mazda 6 estate, my second after the first was written off. It's a great car but we need to be able to get to the mother-in-laws house which is off road.

I also have an MG ZR and previously have had, amongst other things, a Ford Capri.

Looking forward to finding out a bit more before taking the plunge

Hello and a great 2015!
I'm from Estonia and currently not a Freelander owner. Andy from The 75 & ZT Owners Club suggested to join your club when i told him I'm looking for a LHD Freelander 2010 to buy from the GB.

Hello All,

Owned Alfa 159 for last 5 years and decided to change it for better offroader.
Bought Freelander 2 this year and very impressed with its offroad capabilities (especially after Alfa 159 Laughing ).

Really like the feel of Freel!
