And the Best Christmas present award goes to---------------?

Hi All,
Merry Christmas.
Just opened a pile of prezzies from my beloved and found at the end an envelope containing a half day LR experience voucher for tarporley.
How excited am I?
Wish they were open right now, Christmas day.
Anyone been there and what was it like.
Did anyone else get LR related prezzies?
Cheers for now.

2011 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Galway Green

haha...awesome...

I steer my family away from getting me car stuff 'cause I'm quite, er, choosy ... I'd probably get a Halfords sponge or turbo wax super pack or something...

...but an experience voucher is a slam dunk! FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Caspian Blue

Maffy, I've been twice.
First was a full day in a defender - a slightly extravagent 40th birthday present from my dearly beloved. Went with a pal and the defender was our choice. Diff-locks in all day ! Was excellent with a great instructor.
Second time was a half day (actually, about 90 minutes in the car) in a freelander 2 HSE auto with a voucher from the lovely Guy Salmon folks when I bought the car. Was okay considering it was free but the 2013 HSE auto was somewhat different than my 2007 manual GS !! Still, it did surprise me what the car could do. There was only one VERY deeply rutted section full of water that we didn't do in the freelander that we'd done in the defender 12 months earlier.
The setting is very nice and some great views over the Cheshire plain.
You'll have a great day. FL2 2007 57 GS
D2 2005 Td5 - gone and not missed
FL1 2005 Td4 - gone and missed

Hi Jonathan, thanks for the info, superb.
Glad you enjoyed both your sessions.
I will be looking to book the Freelander Auto if poss as I have the metropolis and is a world apart from the 2005 Td4 Freelander I also have, and I know just how good that is in 99% of conditions, so looking to get some confidence in my new one to be honest.
Once again, thanks for input. Hit it he said, Hit it!--So I hit it, then he hit me---Doh!

Jealous Mr. Green doesn't sum it up really

I've been to Dunkeld a few times, I'm hoping LR still dish them out with the DS. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Sounds excellent!

Technically I bought my partner the Freelander a week before Xmas, so that should count! But incase it didn't I got her a personalised plate for it too

And my fantastic girlfriend knows me so well, she got me a custom made indoor car cover for my Subaru Mr. Green

Got an 'Old Guys Rule' t-shirt with a muddy Defender on the front. And a voucher. For a 2 hour bird of prey handling session, which is cool with me. 2016 BMW X3 30d SE in red

Bought myself a prezzie, a spoiler. Decided to go for OE LR spoiler rather than aftermarket as intending to keep this car a bit longer than the last one.
