The freelander locking nuts have a outer sleeve that spins so the socket type that grip the outer edge ,I think won't work |

I delivered mine to RCV Landrover once without the key. They have masters for most models but not the Freelander but they got them off. They may have a master for it now.

When I test drove my FL2 at Perrys at Barnsley the wife noticed a nail in the tyre, any way they couldn't find the locking wheel nut so they sent the car off to Rocar Moors LR dealer (owned by perrys) who used there master set to replace the lock nuts. While they were doing the lock nuts they noticed a wheel bearing needed replacing too.

The socket type removers will not work as the out side on the locking wheel nut spins

A few years ago we were booking an hotel in Liverpool and I asked about car parking. The reply was 'Well. I would't come in your best car'. |

Fr2 is better than the Fr1 - only had a few different patterns (9, from memory) and the universal tool cost less than a new wheel. And the locking nuts I had on didn't stop the local scrappies from nicking the spare wheel. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
