Follow the steering column down and there is a flap of carpet where the column goes into the bulk head. I wrapped a cloth around the column as it goes into the floor. If you were to put your fingers into this hole you can feel a rubber gromit around the steering column. I basically just stuffed this hole with an old pillow case to kind of form a loose seal. It's been there all day today and I haven't once noticed the turbo whistle |

Bit of a long shot but you don't have a link or a copy of the technical bulletin for this fix? I want to take it into the dealer to show them. |

Thanks for the advise... Yes the car is still under warranty so its not costing me anything. Its just costing me time like you said.

Yes my VIN number is between those numbers... I've given the dealer the correct part number and i believe they are calling TVLR to speak to them about this. Not sure i can be bothered with all of the chasing i'm having to do to get this sorted. The part is only £12 and i could just fit it myself. What is an SSM? |

I also had the turbo whistle, and after reading all the posts put some carpet underlay in and around the steering column what a difference so thanks to the forum another problem sorted |

I've been meaning to check mine, so went and had a look. It's the same as yours.

About the same on MY13 (obviously with less corrosion) and the underlay had a better cut
