Quite a few cars seem to have fairly dark front windows but still lighter than the rear windows. I don't know the %.

It is just that there is less braking and steering at the back of the car. If you stick a biscuit on the front just be even more careful. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device! Good point. I Think also it is a case that people new to the brand also see its a Discovery starting at £32k. I look forward to the small Audi Q3 sized Discovery to be launched, then at least there is a model to cover all budgets. The baby Disco is supposed to be a lot of fun from what I have been told. From memory its 3, will check it out on Wednesday. Make or break day, the only thing I'm struggling with is the lower seating postion, everything else fits the bill. Still tempted by a full fat Disco SE but get more for my money on the DS but my current D4 is a GS which has nothing on it, which doesn't bother me as such it does what it says on the tin. I think the new SE has a tiny bit more. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

I understand that the reason we can't have privacy glass all round is that the EU specified that cars have to be the same across the EU. This mean that a car in say Greece, where all round tinted glass would be a good idea in the summer, would be unusable in the north of Finland where it's dark and cold for half the year. The compromise is dark at the back and clear at the front. Makes sense ? (no not me either) |

We have VOSA in the UK who made illegal to have the front drops tinted. I do not think it is a EU thing as a French forum member on here recenlty posted that his dark 35% were legal. A company in the states tested a motorcycle visors tinted at 70% against ones tinted at 50% (light tint) and they claimed that the results were harldy noticable and that they could no undertand why a 50% tint is not acceptable.
