Having had the (dis)pleasure of listening to this for the past week or so I now think it might be coming from the back end - so I guess rear diff bearings are the prime suspect(?)

I too had a similar whine, went when I renewed the Wrangler tyres.

This has continued to get worse and last week I took it to a small independent garage for an opinion. Confirmed rear diff bearings.

If you do a search on here you will find various prices. It seems to be you can get it for around the £500 mark, but it sems that if you get a contribution from LR, the dealer charges full whack then with LR's contribution it brings it down to the £500 to £600 mark again. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |
