Went into Lancaster's Welwyn today... Only Range Rovers and a Defender in the showroom. Outside, five or six nice low miles used FL2 and some RRs. Don't remember seeing any disco at all and no DS yet. Had a look through their big DS book and the leathers and fabric samples book though.

I like the look of the car inside & out (from those books) but not with the contrast (Black) roof. Personally I'd prefer not to have the panoramic roof too but I don't think that can be specced out.

Has anyone driven a new Disco Sport?

I have a drive booked with the local LR dealer next month but I didn't ask when dealers would start to get models in (for demo / for sale / etc) so perhaps someone HAS driven one and can report on how it compares to the current FL2 experience.

If no-one has by 20 Dec, I will certainly report back if that it any use..  ...

Most of use are all in the same boat, the weeks running up to Xmas is when all ride and drive events take place. The closest I've got is sitting behind the wheel.

Had a mail shot from Guy Salmon Sheffield (from whom I bought my FL2) re the forthcoming DS. They talk about a "virtual demonstrator" with the "real" thing being in dealerships from 22nd January. Is that just for that particular dealership or is it general across all dealerships, which the mailshot intimates.

Regrettably the cost is just to much for me so becomes academic  MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
