Ah, OK - it's at the LA motor show amongst all the DSs! It's not that different from the DS, though, and I suspect a DS in that colour with the black roof and wheels will look just as bad! Perhaps why the LR site doesn't actually seem to be offering it as an option for the DS in the builder.

I like the colour, not sure about the styling will need to see it in the flesh. The one thing that stands out are the lines on the side, they have kept the old air vent but now no other lines relate to the vent as the handles have gone. At least it looks odd from that angle. |

The handles are missing as that is the concept car, not the Discovery Sport that you will see on the streets.

The front half of that I like (apart from the black wheels), it's from the B pillars back that it starts to go wrong. The rising waistline gives the car a very heavy-looking rear end, and this is emphasised by the bright colour. This is then further emphasised by the black roof and the very odd effect of the orange C pillar. From the rear the overall effect is of obesity, like it needs to go on a diet. The grey/silver colours work better because they disguise that overweight rear end.

There was a White one with black pack at the preview event, which didn't look brilliant to be honest. I've struggled with colour choice originally I was going Loire Blue then Scotia Grey then back to Loire then Phoenix Orange came along now its Firenze Red.

Personally I like the Phoenix Orange coachwork! It reminds me of autobiography days when Land Rover dealers actually gave you hardback copies of the Range Rover special paint schemes that were available! I will upload it on the forum under a new thread. Don’t forget LR have done many vibrant orange shades over the years….. Early D2 Kinversand, G4 Tangiers Orange, RRS Vesuvius Orange which was the Stormer concept and launch colour of 500 Supercharged First Edition Sports and of course Tambora Flame on the FL2. They’re has been many other oranges but I will leave that for other anorak members MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior MY15 Xenon Headlight Conversion MY17 RRS SVR - Estoril Blue Cirrus/Ebony 🪣💺’s |

I wonder if the stick-on door protectors will be offered, and if so how they will look. Those doors look a bit vulnerable! Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
