Whilst it is very nice and well finished, the car was originally a cheap sports car, no leather and all the interiors were black.( no head rests on a chrome bumper model) Surely if you want a highly modified body interior for the looks why not play with a replica? I own a Daimler SP250 (Dart) and have been trying to dissuade new owners from fitting rack and pinion steering because the original is heavy heavy, If you buy a classic /vintage or historic then restore to ex factory, if you want the modern looks and toys buy a replica my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Where I agree with what you say to a degree. A) You can't beat having the original thing B) He has done it to suit him, and know one else. His attitude is that he has respect for those who want to keep things original, in the same way others should respect what he wants to do. MG Midgets are not exactly rare, so there are enough out there for some to be built how the owner wants it, not how others say he should have it. Looks superb. I see what you mean with the carpets, as it was being built I thought those carpets need changing, the blue will be a good choice. I also agree each to their own, that's why I have pre facelift FL2 staying that way as I prefer the look in the colour I have. Other colours look better with the new face, but like we say each to their own. |

I love it when cars evolve and that HAS evolved into something with quality and class.
