Think I will do. This car came came from Charles Hurst, and does meet the spec cosmetically. Still one hell of a car, and so much better than the Audi A4 I had.

Which model A4 and in which way is the FL2 better?

My opinion is that Audi put together some of teh best cars in terms of build quality, material quality along with comfort and good dynamics (not as good as BMW in my eyes though).

I Had an A4 Avant S-Line 2.0 TDi.

Was a very nice car, well built as you say,but the drive could be a bit hard because of the sports suspension and the sports seats, whilst supportive, were uncomfortable on longer journeys.

Road noise was much more intrusive in the Audi too.

What impressed me with the FL2 was the level of comfort, the great driving position and the level of standard equipment.

I was looking at the new A4, along side the FL2 and in my opinion the FL2 came top. Freelander 2 TD4 HST - With Santorini Black, Auto, Bi-Xenons, DAB Radio

Agree with you completely.

I have an A3 back in Holland and whilst road noise is not an issue (as CG also knows moving from an A3) the FL2 is just in a different league completely in terms of comfort.

ANother aspect which really impresses me is the Alpine stereo system (I don't have the 12 speaker system) which is just fantastic, and compared to other vehicles seems to be up there at the top in terms of sound quality and pure volume. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

Auto recirculates the air in the cabin if it is too humid, via a senor on the rear view mirror

Ideal for those warmer humid country, not something i'll miss/need here

So if you get up to something steamy in the back the fan starts blowing at you, now I see why AndyC chose the HSE Rolling with laughter

Seriously Shocked, well I guess that makes it easier to fit ... do you know what parts need more than 3M sticky pads? Phil

It seems any hacksaw marks on the grill are then covered by a 'facia' in the next instruction picture so It shouldn't be a worry. There is also a hacksaw symbol for cutting out a towbar slot in the rear 'skirt' So don't slip with the blade and accidentally cut your ball Shocked At work
