mine is a 2009 without DPF, so go for that, ie as new as you can afford without DPF.

Beware of those that have had the DPF removed. VOSA are really hot on it now and it will fail the MOT test if a vehicle has had theirs removed. We had a special notice recently warning that if any MOT stations that carry out repairs are found offering to remove/bypass a DPF, they will lose their licence to test! |

I think DPF is only an issue if you do lots and lots of short journeys with no longer ones at all.

I'm on my 2nd with a DPF to be fair, if I didn't know it was there I wouldn't know, none have been a problem, mainly doing short journeys, many only a couple of a miles. Occasionally the exhaust sounds a little throaty (nice though) on the Disco when its doing a regen but that's it. |
