I wouldn't even call it a 7 seater, the third row is completely useless to someone like me who doesn't have kids. I doubt mines will ever see the light of day, once the boot mats on the floor and the dog guards in that will be it.

Styling not to everyones taste, Im not a fan of those rear lights, also I was under the impression that the Range Rover, Discovery and Defender line ups were going to have a different design to make a clear distinction between the three. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Absolutely - that seems to be a huge oportunity lost. If they do a Range Rover version of the DS (as for FL2 -> Evoque) how can they make it look different now given the starting point?!

Badged as a Range Rover I still wouldn't be interested in the DS, but at least I'd think it suited its intended market. As a Land Rover it's just not right for all kinds of reasons.

I think if they squared it of a bit and gave it some chiselled features then it may look a bit more Land Rover.

It's the first Land Rover that I almost cancelled, when I first seen it I thought, no its too stylish for me, too much like the Evoque its not what I was expecting it to look like. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I had an invite from Hatfields in Hull for a December test drive, put it in the recycling bin, I'm playing hard to get Cool
Only had my MY13 for just over a year so not interested until the warranty on this one runs out.

Laughing Truth is, if I go I might weaken and waste more money so staying away seems the right option Whistle

Do they mean larger than the FL2? It may be but I thought internal loading capacity was comparable if not slightly smaller than the FL2?

See what you mean, although I think the Explorer has more of a 4x4 look and less of a sloping rear roof line, should give it a more usable tailgate opening.

American car show reports from the LA motor show on the DS.

Look out for the orange DS about half way through - it looks dreadful! In fact, the DS only seems to look reasonable in grey!

And one on the Ford Explorer:

It does look very like the DS - and look out for its terrain response system, very similar to the FL2/DS although it's claimed to be Ford designed and best in class!

When I picked my FL up there was an evoque in the same orange/bronze with a black roof and black wheels , to say it was ugly is an understatement.
If I hadn't bought my FL was going to have a look at this from ford , it comes out next year around the same time as the DS
