Out for a walk today over the country park and Susie was chasing a ball when she heard a pheasant clucking away in the trees and it stopped her dead in her tracks. So I sent her in. I'll have to train her just to flush, not chase!

Off with Susie in a minute to take her on her first real shoot of this season as a flusher. We normally get paid in pheasants! |

She's nearly 30 months old now and she started this time last year. Didn't really need any special training, she just took her lead from the others. Probably helps that the rest of her family - sister, brother, mum, uncle, aunt and granddad - who she walks with 4 times a week, go too. It's really good to see them working together and they absolutely love it. She's still zonked out this morning! |
