It might be a long shot but I once had a similar incident with a visitor's VW tourag parked at work which did exactly the same. It was about 6pm. The battery voltage was fine and no obvious signs of blown fuses. We called a VW dealer service dept who were about to go home and they suggested disconnecting the battery completely, wait for a few minutes and then reconnect. This would cause the car's electronic systems to reboot. It worked and everything returned to normal. As I said it's a long shot but might be worth a try. |

There has been a thread before about an electrical connector in the passenger foot well. It sometimes disconnects shutting off power to the dash etc, maybe this is worth looking into?? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

The car engine is diesel 2.2 PSA.

The instrument cluster is essential for unlocking the steering column which in turn allows the engine to start.
