Last few litres have to be put in slowly, what complete nonsense, I've a hundred thousand miles with Freelanders and never had to do that.

I reckon I can squeeze another gallon in if I fill VERY slowly and allow the air to escape. Hardly a quarter of a tank. Get yourself another dealer who understands cars! (And from memory, the handbook instructs you NOT to do that, to avoid spillage). Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

looks to me like dealer is screwing the warranty for every penny, as this is a lot of bullshit.

Looking at that invoice, it looks like one from Shatstones.....does anyone have any faith in Evans Halshaw? I wouldn't with that sort of bull! Foraging near Gaydon....

My first freelander 07 had this problem. No matter how slowly I put the fuel in, by the time I had driven off the forecourt the gauge showed 3/4 full. Fixed under warranty by replacing fuel sender units. |
