Averaged 42.4mpg since leaving Devon. We are currently staying in York for a few days and would be interested in where the best fuel price is. Want to fill up before returning home.

Just selling our SE manual 2.2 and over 65,000 miles appears to have returned 35 mpg average in rural North Yorkshire. Hope our new automatic metropolis gets close.....

United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Indus Silver

Been using our 2012 TD4 GS for my commute to a new job, a 122 mile round trip daily! Average MPG is 44 for that, bit of motorway, bit of A road and the Cat and Fiddle twice a day so pretty good.

It's so surprising that we had planned to get a Eco wagon to do it in, something that doubled the MPG to make up the cost of running two cars, but hadnt accounted for it being so good!

Just driven from Hamilton to Manchester City centre. Put cruise on and kept my speed between 62 & 64 mph . Only a couple of times that cruise was off due to road works .... I got 40.4 mpg Thumbs Up Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Hi All picked up my Metropolis today from Basingstoke and drove it back to Chester (15 miles from where it was made last week!) The average MPG was showing as 42.7, very pleased with that on it's maiden voyage,
will keep monitoring but so far am very encouraged.
by the way, I started V gently but soon progressed to my usual style of driving and speeds!!!!!!

Hi all
Had my new Freelander just over two months now and just got back from another good weeks walking in Kinlochewe clocked up 1400 miles in the week and averaged exactly 40MPG must admit a little dissapointed thought I would of got more with it all being 70 and 60 mph driving but the car drove outstandingly on the single track roads and very comfy on the motorway , overall very pleased with the freelander for long trips

Our two week old Metropolis has settled into a 36mpg average, but was indicating 41 after a gentle run.

Very pleased, given its only done 500 miles. 2014 Barolo black Metropolis

Went from Dorset to Kent and back last weekend. Total distance 380 miles and according to the dashboard it averaged 52mpg. It was a steady run on mainly dual carriageway or motorways ( A31, M27, M3, M25, M20 etc) and since it was busy I rarely got above 60/65mph. Pretty good really and better than my wife's Peugeot 207 1.4 petrol can manage.
