Engine breather

Had the usual engine breather oil leak from the left hand side (when viewed from the front) plastic to rubber pipe joint.
Fixed it with a new jubilee clip and Blue Hylomar a few weeks ago.
Noticed the same leak had occurred from elsewhere last week. It's definitely breather oil, more pale in colour than pure engine oil. It's only one small drop, but annoying nonetheless.
The car isn't used much nowadays with too many short runs which are never good for an engine.
Late this afternoon, I took a trip to the coast, 60 miles, with some steep climbs and plenty of rpm's.

Got home, parked the car in the garage, newspaper where the oil spot dropped and 3 hours later, bone dry. Not a spot.
I'm wondering if the trip has cleared out the breather system? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

I'm a big believer in giving a car a bit of a thrashing once in a while - get everything nice and hot - cleans all the crud out.

Haven't really done much of that in the FL to be honest (it is only 6 months old though) but in the impreza it never drove better than the day after a good b road blast!

Not sure about a thrashing but i'm sure a good fast motorway run does them the world off good.
