Been in to dealer today regarding this. Dealer sai they'd seen it before and found the TSB on it. Found out the extension from LR on warranty as it was a LR assured car doesn't cover paintwork but he said they see no problem in LR agreeing to fix due to TSB.

Fingers crossed....

That's a known fault when the naughty boys at the factory did not fit the separator. Taggarst in Motherwell noticed on mine and suggested it would be covered under paint warranty. The fact they wanted £500 qiod for a minor ding elsewhere on the boot meant I went elsewhere JB19

This is all good news. I think you will find that the written 6-yr corrosion warranty is against perforation, i.e. a hole. The surface rust shouldn't be there though and it's good that JLR is taking a customer-care route and not pointing at the small print. Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red

2014 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Loire Blue

Hi, Does anyone have the info for the TSB mentioned earlier in this thread as my new HSE lux has the paint peeling off the boot already. Land rover refused the warranty claim initially but have now authorised it and I want to make sure they fix it properly using the correct procedure.

Ta.

Had my Free lander on a ramp Today to find a oil leak and I found this on my passenger side wheel arch it looks like water and salt has got inside the paint. Big Cry
I also found the cause of my oil leak it was from the intercooler pipe connections what a mess that caused coating the engine etc with oil splashes. Censored

I once had a Citroen XM, manual a weird car (big executive cruiser) with hydraulic suspension and 4 pedals, one being the "handbrake". I got pulled over by the police once and the copper was very apologetic and said "no problem sir. but I am thinking of getting one and wanted to know how you are getting on with the extra pedal"!?
