Straight swap. No issues at all. fL2 wheels are around ET54, where as Evoque average ET45-ET47, so although the wheels will sit out slight, there will be no adverse effects.

unless you live in Switzerland where the Government MOT "Prüfung" inspectors will fail your FL2 if you have them fitted. Reason: the Evoque wheel spec ET45 / 47 are not listed in their computer systems as specified for the FL2 only the ET54 / 55. Result - MOT FAILED By-product: her Ladyship threw her toys out-of-her-cot and said that if that git (the test examiner) calls me in the middle of the night when I am on emergency call-out duty with a non life threatening situation then I'll tell him that I'm too busy on a real emergency and he'd best f**k off to the local hospital. She's already been down to the test station to complain in person that such a pedantic petty decision takes her "duty vehicle" off the road and putting patient's health care at risk. Re-test is tomorrow (Wednesday 15:00hrs) with a new wheel set temporarily supplied courtesy of our new LR dealer in Liechtenstein |

I'm not so sure the 'LR specialist' is correct in this case, based on the fact that LR actually supply cars with spare tyres a different size from those on the car. I.e. my own car has 235/65 17 tyres, but the steel spare was supplied with a 225/65 17 tyre. So personally I wouldn't worry about heating the diff! (Or the Haldex, which has temperature monitoring built in and will automatically disengage if it detects overheating.) |
