So myself and others that park away from the herd, are we just brave or stupid Laughing

Dash cam is great, I forget mine is there half the time as its hidden from my view behind the mirror, I used to leave it running 24/7 but in winter it was taking its toll on the battery, just on when running now which is a pity but I tend to park defensively if I can.

100% agree with that one. I often park as far away as I can in a shopping centre car park, only to come out and find someone parked right next to me with vacant spaces everywhere around us. Some people need to be cuddled a lot I reckon.

PS Unbeleivble spelling too Very Happy

here in Italy distances between parked cars are minimal... and some times u need to access your driver's seat via the passenger door ! Rolling Eyes
If I had to complain of a car door hitting mine, they will just reply get a smaller car and it won't happen ! LOL
even the municipal police would say that, and insurances won't even consider the claim.
Its considered part and parcel of living here !

I have my dashcam on and although the impact wasn't hard enough to set the G Sensor going, you have hear 3 distinct bumps, the first been the loudest and then a couple of quieter ones, then me storming out the office and saying instead of hitting my car, why didn't you move over a bit!!!! ??? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Talking about bad attitudes these days (rant coming), anyone having trouble with their neighbour’s Censored children knocking seven bells out of their car with a football.
I’m having no end of trouble. Luckily no serious damage yet, just light scuffs to the paint. Their parents apparently tell them to play anywhere other than outside their own property which generally means mine. Why do they always play with a heavy regulation weight football?
A colleague at work had his car damaged in this way a while ago and his insurance company insisted on a Police report as the kids actions contravened the Highways Act 1982. Yes, I was young once, and so was my daughter, but never allowed to carry on like this. Rant over.

used to get this at my last house, and the roof of my car was damaged ( big dent ) by a ball.

we lived in a child friendly cul de sac and it eventually became a total nightmare, so we moved.

thing is when you complain it just gets worse !!

This one happened a while back now, but I always park away from others. This one happened when I came out of B&Q. I was parked around the side far from others...

That's exactly what I mean, you're obviously not one of the 'herd'.

I'm still waiting for Dr Rpb to diagnose my condition Laughing

I've started putting my disco in off-road height so that idiots like this take a chunk out of their door on my side steps!

Had so many dents in my freelander like thus and never got round to repairing them...

I wonder if side rubbing strips, designed in the same way as a studded belt but with sharp points, would be legal?

I also wonder if, just as they walk away, you,run to your car and move it up a few spaces they will follow suit, this could be fun Laughing
