The fuelling device is triggered if you insert the nozzle all the way, if you simply hold the nozzle in the filler tube it is possible to defeat the safety feature.

Interesting re the contra fuelling device but believe me, I managed NO problem. It's annoying but even more so since I did the very same thing not 2 months ago with my company car! Must be loosing my marbles. From a time when dinosaurs weren't just confined to zoos! |

Drove it about 400 yds! When this happened in my Laguna, the AA came out, drained it & put some sort of cleaner through it & all was fine. I am in shock. Anyway, the insurance co are arranging for it to be inspected by their approved repairers. From a time when dinosaurs weren't just confined to zoos! |
