Take it to a LR Dealer, ask them what they think, can't see that they will bill you just for an opinion, if they strip it out then yes. |

Sorry Peter, only just noticed your post. The indy I use is Parkside garage in Huddersfield. Mick Leech is the owner, apprenticed trained LR mechanic. Prices seem reasonable. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker. Gone MY2010 Freelander 2 Manual TD4.e S, Alaska White. |

The diff halfshaft bearing can be replaced without removing the diff but methinks they are grasping at straws. My guess is after they have done it it will still be noisy and eventually the diff will have to be done. John

Meeting with my familys and dads business solicitors, they were very happy to take the case on and were ready to send the first point of contact out to the dealer which was set for the day after but after telling the dealer I was seeking legal action he decided to get it fixed ( funny that ) After a meeting with them within 5 minutes they had shown a number of ways the case would get resolved Just waiting to see how the truck is and if any other problems pop up with the diff and or the rest of the truck, as if something else goes wrong I have already told them they can handle everything on my behalf.
