Drove past 5 of the "proposed" test Disco sport the other day, they were parked up in a pub car park presumably having been driving around local country routes. not surprised as I live in Cheshire and only 18 miles from Halewood.

If the v6 supercharged engine will be under the bonnet, or a SVR version will be produced.I don't see why I should buy a "sport" seven seater with out air suspension and 2 litre engines. We have that allready it's called a freelander |

I very much doubt the extra seats will be standard across the range. the average fl2 driver wont ever use these suicide seats and LR will want the entry price to be competitive with other cars. At work |

better to read the official press release than the autocar article, as it avoids any journalistic slant &etc! |

Assuming the red car picture is an artist impression and from the shape of the Mule I'm not sure I like it! It doesnt scream Landrover does it? It looks a but too generic Urban cross over thingy. One of the main attractions of the FL2 is the fact that it looks utility, robust and designed for purpose not an adapted, jacked up version of the family saloon. The more boxy design of the Freelander and Disco is its trademark and differentiates it from the RangeRovers and more importantly any of the other competition. Where companies have attempted to copy this it hasnt worked - Xtrail for instance. IMHO. |

I have not yet understood if this new Discovery Sport will replace our Free2 which production will be soon interrupted... I'm not sure this would be a greet decision market wise... |

I agree with Nobby, it looks like a beefed up Mondeo estate, doesn;t seem to have the same height as the Freelander never mind a Disco |

I would assume all the journos have an information pack from LR. I guess if they get a bit too much hospitality they become unable to read it. GONE - '07 TD4 GS manual Zermatt Silver LONG GONE - '55 Norton Dominator 99 SS cafe racer |
