Think they assume to much, LR have already said that the new Ingenium won't be ready for eighteen months or so after the launch yet Autocar still indicate that he will be fitted.

I would assume all the journos have an information pack from LR. I guess if they get a bit too much hospitality they become unable to read it.

Spent a couple of hours on Photoshop removing all the stickers from LR's latest Discovery Sport teaser, it'll be quite interesting to see how close i've got! Whistle

That doesn't look so bad. I still like the boxy-ness of the current FL2, but I think I could live with what you have done.

Great job! 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

Looks rancid my eyes are burning! This will most certainly not be my next LR! How anyone can part ex a current FL2 to the disco sport and call it an upgrade it beyond me (looks wise). It looks like an estate car with a suspension lift

Having had LR's for many decades in the family it's really a sad day that the box shape will be most certainly gone by 2018 across all ranges!

I would not be put off an early car these days. My first FL2 was a December 2006 model and it was great. I'll for sure buy a Disco Sport next. I am also sure that LR have thought about things like space and seating etc, so don't you all worry your little hearts out over it.

chicken george wrote:
I very much doubt the extra seats will be standard across the range. the average fl2 driver wont ever use these suicide seats and LR will want the entry price to be competitive with other cars.

Good point!

Nice work Rob!

This is the entry model to the revised "Discovery" line, so I wonder whether the upcoming "Defender" will actually be more of a true 'Freelander" replacement?

I think I'll reserve judgement and hold onto my Freelander until I've seen more details of both of them and certainly until the new engines are available.

I suppose The Discovery brand is the familyman's Land Rover, and as an SUV it should looks good, then the Range Rover brand is the premium Land Rover, I just hope that the Defender will follow on from the Freelander2 with a more rugged Proper looking 4x4. Nice pic Rob, not keen on that colour though! Can I have one in red please? It has gone for the look of all the other 4X4s out there with the raised body line and lowered roof line. I suppose LR feel that the box shape is making it look dated and have to go with the fashion. I am sure that the marketing people will have researched this and hope to get more customers new to LR buying it rather than die-hard LR customers Sad GONE - '07 TD4 GS manual Zermatt Silver
