Managed to take photos of my beam pattern, despite the sunlight. There's clearly a triangle with the apex to the left. Can't see how this can be described as "flat".

Photos sent to Mike. His advice is that "if I feel the beam is not flat" I should take it to a LR dealership. Which EYorkshire has already done. We're not getting anywhere with this! Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Do as I did and call into your local friendly MOT garage, mine was free but for a few quid they will show you, and the kick up is clearly shown against the horizontal line of the machine. |

well it's clearly shown in my photos, but that didn't cut any ice. It just seems strange that LR techies don't know their own car - you and I both know they're wrong, and the advice is to go talk to a dealer, who has access to the tech team, who will tell him/her the same thing. Just a thought. Has anyone ever seen a LHD car over here with beam deflectors? |

So I fitted the Halfords ones and they certainly flattened the beam. However with no indication on the lens it's difficult to position them. Even using a marker pen to guide me I didn't get them quite right. You need to get both vertical and horizontal planes sorted and aligned before you finally stick them on. Since the lens is actually at an angle, that takes quite a bit of doing!
