What are these pipes ?

Hi,
I have noticed an oil leak over the last couple of weeks.
I'm trying to track it down, and I found 2 pipes that look like they possibly should be joined together.

Does anyone know what they are and if they are likely the source of my oil leak ?

Thanks in advance.

Ah, damn.
Oh well, I'll keep searching.

Thank you both for your responses.

Yes these are not your cause but they are in fact breathers from the starter motor.

Had mine out awhile ago to replace the solenoid.
