Rattle on shutdown

Hello. Surely the rattle of throttle body can't be starting on7000 mile car. Seems to be intermittent rattle after double locking the car? Or is it my imagination. I'll have some more listens first just to check. Seems to have happened 2 or 3 times after my 20 mile drive home.

It's after the high pitch shutdown whine has finished , if anyone has had the same?

Just for information , there are 4 plastic flappy things at the back of the radiator, fan area, so it could be these that are rattling as things are beginning to cool/ fan stopping. Rattling them about manually creates a similar noise, so I hope it's these.

It's under Warranty so I'd take it to a Dealer and get them to have a look at it for you.

Might do. Definitely only when it's hot & sunny and intermittent . Probably wait for 1st service in a few months, unless it gets worse or more frequent.

I had the throttel body issue start at around 70k mile mark. Dealer looked at it, checked the emissions, which were ok, and advised to keep an eye on it and if it got any worse take it back.

Why would the throttle body rattle when you lock the car as there is no mechanical or electrical connection that I know of? Confused

No idea. It's just an intermittent rattle in warm conditions. Its probably those flappy things at the back of radiator settling down

Right. It's getting booked in at dealers. Seems to becoming more frequent. About 30 secs after switching ignition off something rattles as though something is spinning and catching on something. Seems to be coming from left hand side of engine- where all the belts are. 8000 miles now and never used to do it. We'll see what dealer says
