i'm not sure but isn't there a clip in the plastic where the poles go into which needs pushing in? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Tried that, you have to push that in to move them up and down but they only came up so far instead of coming right out. |

sorry i was meaning the other pole, not the one for normal adjusting, on the side i think the is one you need to use something to push in. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Forgot to say that the shafts are heavily Vaselined, so make sure you don't wipe them onto your seat coverings |

Thanks for all your help guys, all sorted now. You do indeed have to push buttons on both sides. That will teach me not to look properly |
