Key fob fixed for £16 great advice on forums

My key fob would not open or close doors, so read forums about repairing amazing advice
I split my fob with 2 screwdrivers when the glue cracks comes apart pretty easy
Bought a battery off flea bay £6
Looked for local electronic repair shop on net and gave un a call, said they would fit new battery on circuit board for £10
Cleaned fob faces and glued back together and presto my key fob works

Don't be afraid about repairing your fob like me if u dont want to solder on circui board someone local would do if for u if u split ur case 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Steve the newby

That's good advice. Many on here can split the key open but not many can solder a battery onto a circuit board. I'd try to do it with my MIG welder. Whistle Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Talk of the devil - my fob has started getting just about 2 'blips' before needing to be charged so it's new battery time for me now. Have you got a battery part number / eBay item number for the battery? Oh, I promise not to use my mig welder. Laughing Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

The part number is VL2330 Panasonic rechargeable battery
The eBay item number i used was eBay Item No. 281263914056
Sellers name grod8643

Good luck and remember if u do it yourself do not put excessive heat on the board it will damage the chip and other parts Steve the newby

Great video. Thumbs Up Did you check the voltage of the old battery, was it knackered or was it the poor circuit board connection that was the problem?
