Hi Folks

Well intending to replace one of our FL1s I joined the forum in Dec 2006. Went to the dealer in Feb 2009 expecting to order a FL2 and came away with a TDV8 RRS (made the mistake of having a test drive - out of curiosity really). Have lurked on and off the forum since but have now finally joined the FL2 community with a 2013 HSE Lux auto. Look forward to spending more time with you good folk here.

Bob

Wales 2011 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Bali Blue

Hi I'm a long term member of the Discovery Owners club and I'm also the West Wales section rep.

Like a fair number of our members we've purchased a Freelander 2 in addition to our Discoverys and are well impressed so far.

Haven't managed to get more than 38mpg out of it though but I suppose that is the price you have to pay to live in the hills. Smile

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Hi Guys,

I've just driven home in a 57 plate HSE! I spent a lot of time trawling this place for info when I was considering whether to get one and amazingly went ahead anyway! Laughing

Now I'm planning to add a few cosmetic mods and then add some towing and roof carrying capacity, hopefully learning from the mistakes others have made before me.

Thumbs Up

Hi

Just thought I'd say hi. Have recently let my 300tdi disco go, was going to replace it with an FL1 & lift it etc for play but tbh don't play that much anymore so decided on FL2 instead to replace the Golf as well.

England 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Stornoway Grey

Hi,

Just sold my TD5 Landmark and have replaced it with my 3rd Landrover, an SD4 GS 2012. Juts need to add a towbar next week as I'm taking the caravan away so will be a good test of its abilities.

Looking forward to learning more about it on here and hopefully any tips and tricks.

Just popped in...

Hello

I've had my Freelander 1 v6 for 10 years now. Sadly it won't last forever so I have joined this forum to find out more about Freelander 2's. Some of you may already know me from landyzone. I've driven a Freelander 2 SD4 at a free land rover experience day on and oft road and like it. It would be nice to own one. I love ma hippo. We've had loads of fun driving oft road but also had more than our fare share of faults. Many of which I try to fix myself. Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer

Spain 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Hi Guys,

Ex Disco owner downgraded?? to a 2006 Freelander.

Its a LHD converted from UK reg and intend to register in
Spain as they are like hens teeth over here.

Two problems are heavy steering ( no Noise Yet) and a
bit of noisy knock/thump from the diesel td4 on accelleration.

Other than that it did the journey from uk to Spain last week
at 85 all the way and goes like a rocket, but not a patch on
the disco for comfort.

Still a Member of the Series one club (1949 80in) and a few SIII's
for luck in the previous life!!!

Great off roading or rather brown laneing in Spain as no silly
BOAT, ROAT Bye way restrictions here!!!

If your down Costa Blance way and fancy a bit of soft trialing
let us know!!

Regards

Alan Cool Cool

Hi All

Looks like a great site, thanks.

We are really enjoying driving our car, one of the best we have had to drive. It's our first 4x4 and we are so impressed with the comfort and lack of driving fatigue we experience.
