England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Mav, absolutely beautiful car-must give you a warm feeling when it's clean.
Quick question-did you reinstall the original Sat Nav DVD player in the grey one? I only ask because my Sat Nav player on our 07 TD4 HSE has an intermittent fault and I am looking for a replacement used one.

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Orkney Grey

Hi Mav, have you towed your 'van with it yet? I ask because I have just changed from an 07 TD4 manual to a 13 SD4 auto and was wondering what you thought of it.

I have a Coachman with MTPLM of 1640kg which was no problem on the old car. I would hope the extra 30hp would be noticeable. GONE - '07 TD4 GS manual Zermatt Silver

Very easy conversion. But makes all the difference! Thumbs Up

Thanks for the comments. I never touched the Sat Nav system in the grey one. It was just the original unit. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I have towed with it now, and to be honest it is like night and day. Only done a 50 mile 'trial' trip with it, but it is so much more effortless with the auto.

Power wise, it is stronger and the torque delivery is better. The SD4 is better even than a re-mapped TD4 like I used to have. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

The spoiler is on at last. So a few pics which I think has finished off the rear end.

Then on to fitting some genuine LR rear mud flaps. I think I might send the Powerful UK flaps back to show them how excellent the quality is!

mmmmm, I think I am duplicating the old car's style!

But if it looked good the first time round, then why not do it again!

Good Call.
Had the OEM LR mud flaps front n rear on her Ladyship's FL2 for 4yrs now and they are still looking great despite her frequent mountain overland jaunts to alpine farmers either giving birth, trying very hard to chop their own limbs off or dropping dead at ungodly hours of the day n night in the most inclement of winter weather Thumbs Up

Patent parts may always be cheap but apparently not always champion Sad

Smooth wiper needed Whistle

Looks good though, just one question on the later car are the tailpipes slightly lower? it may be the colour that is doing it but for me they don't look quite right, either too small or need to be higher, just my thoughts Thumbs Up

I know what you mean about the pipes looking lower. I don't know whether it is the colour of the car or not.

The only difference is that this car has an Si4 box and the old one had an i6 box. But it shouldn't make any difference.

I think it is just an optical illusion. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Thats a Startech part I think. I rather like the lower bumper skirt they make with the integrated exhausts. Looks better than the Dynamic part LR use. Bet it costs a bit though. The star tech kit is very nice, but bloody expensive! Just under £1000 for the front spoiler alone! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

That's looks fantastic. Setting the modification standard yet again! Are you planning on running both FL2s?
