0% Finance from Land Rover back on....

Folks,

LR have recently changed their finance company. Black Horse who are now the provider are offering 0% on all FL2 Models excluding S. See http://www.landrover.com/gb/en/lr/finance/promotions/freelander/

Might be useful for those thinking about upgrading... Foraging near Gaydon....

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black

how does that finance work with the final payment? at trade in you go to dealer he takes your old car to cover the final payment and your deposit comes from?????

I finance to fully pay the car off at or before trade in, if the monthly payments are too high at that I dont buy the car At work
At home

according to the link 0% is on the GS only, 5.9% for any others

On the Road Price 」 27,455.00
Finance Deposit Allowance 」 -
Customer Deposit 」 6,995.00
Total Amount of Credit 」 20,460.00
Purchase Fee (included in final payment) 」 -
Credit Facility Fee 」 -
23 Monthly Payments 」 299.00
Final Payment 」 13,585.00
Total Amount Payable 」 27,455.00
Duration of Agreement 24 Months
Representative APR 0% APR
Interest Rate (Fixed) % 0.00%

So the 」13.5K is the balance to pay to keep the car after 2 years, or you trade it in against the other, they settle the finance and hopefully you have a figure which gives you a deposit on the next car and not having to put extra ontop to clear it, or find another few thousand to put a deposit down

I have always prefered paying cash, or HP, that way when its paid for it is full deposit, but put off by fluctuating figures and the fact most LR can be stolen without keys, and LR are not bothered in the slightest (IMO)

Nick, I think you'll find that they used a GS purely as an example.

Representative 0% APR available on new 14 Model Year Land Rover Freelander models (Excl S) registered between 1st April and 30th June 2014 at participating dealers only. Minimum 10% deposit required. With Land Rover Freedom Personal Contract Purchase you have the option at the end of the agreement to: (1) subject to the vehicle being in good condition, return the vehicle and not pay the Final Payment (if the vehicle has exceeded the allowed mileage a charge for excess mileage will apply - in this example 14p per mile for any excess mileage up to 4,999 miles and 28p per mile for any excess mileage exceeding 4,999 miles) (2) pay the Final Payment to own the vehicle or (3) part exchange the vehicle subject to settlement of your existing finance agreement; new finance agreements are subject to status. Representative example is based upon an annual mileage of 10,000 miles. Finance is subject to status and only available to applicants aged 18 and over resident in Mainland UK and N.Ireland. Indemnities may be required. This finance offer is available from Black Horse Limited trading as Land Rover Financial Services, St William House, Tresillian Terrace, Cardiff CF10 5BH Foraging near Gaydon....

It's the mileage clause that gets me. A quick trip to Italy (or in my case Turkey, as I recall) can put you over the mileage limit and that could start to get expensive! Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

The mileage clause I believe, only comes into it when you hand a car back and not trade it in as in that scenario it makes the difference on its value

If you trade in its based on mileage to year of car to get the value negative or otherwise

Who in really just hands their car back though
