Theft from my car! Dealer help needed : )

Hi guys, I went out today and noticed someone has stolen one of the reflectors that sit on the rear bumper!!

I Saw a Vogue shredding out from our cul-de-sac a couple of days ago and suspect it was the "perp" as our reflectors seem to fit RR as well haha.. At 25 quid a pop its going to cost me 75 quid including shipping to get 2 matching ones sent over to sweden :/ what an utter Censored

Are there any dealers in here that have a couple in stock and can ship Monday so I have them before the weekend? Smile perhaps you could take them out the box and post in a jiffy bag to speed up the process and bring down the shipping??

#LR006348 and #LR006349

best regards,
/Tony

Sorry to hear about the theft but it did remind me of a funny story from my student days…
I trained as a nurse and whilst living in the nurses home I was one of the very few blokes there which although it did have several obvious benefits on of the biggest disadvantages was that I was regularly woken at silly o’clock to help with one of the girls cars that wouldn’t start. At the time I had a Series 3 LR with a lorry battery and a very good set of jump leads so it really wasn’t a great problem.
One morning I was woken as a friend’s Peugeot 205 had once again failed to start, when checking there was no click of the solenoid but all the lights did as expected so I assumed it was a either a low battery or maybe a dead starter so I put the leads on and tried starting – nothing… I then decided to get underneath and take a look at the starter – only to find that some scroat had nicked it! At this point I had started to wake up a bit more and got the feeling something else wasn’t right too… I thought that the windscreen was exceptionally clear, and the wipers didn’t look quite right – that’s when I realised that she’d had her screen nicked too! The thieves obviously had a conscience though as they had removed her tax disk and left it in the pile of rubbish filling the footwall.
Sometimes things are so obvious you simply don’t see them….

Not necessary a theft...
They tend to fall, happened to me once when I've closed the tailgate.
Fixed each of them into place with two small black self screwing bolts.

hahaha, awesome story NS medic : ) There has actually been a spate of Cats getting nicked from under cars here as well. I cant be 100% sure of course as you always find yourself questioning memory at this age, but I always park the car nose in and approach it from the rear, so I should have noticed it was missing on my maditory "check out my car" while locking it and walking away. Of course I will never know for sure Big Cry

Same here plus headlights from Disco 4s and Range Rover Sports, the thieving (pikeys?). FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak.

Stop global winging.

To be honest I've got a Defender itch that I would like to scratch but not prepared to put up with the thieving 3.14159-keys round here.

Not just parts going but whole vehicles, and even when they are well secure they just burgle the house for keys to vehicle and any security devices.

I was invited years ago to the launch of the Discovery 3, went to a posh country Hotel, arrived in our TD5 Disco, went around the fields for an hour or so, back to the Hotel, sandwiches and drinks. the locking wheel nuts on the TD5 had a metal cover with a dimple that fitted over it, someone nicked all four whilst at the launch. Censored

lost one of mine recently. Cheapet replacement I could find was MJ Fews who are Land Rover Dealers and who have a slot on flea bay £13+ delviered if I remember rightly.

Having put it on it beats me how the heck the original "fell" off, they clip in very positively!!

yeah, I took the left one off simply because it looked so horrible only having one, and realized they are actually quite hard to get off?, To be honest I wasnt really convinced someone could have nicked mine until I saw how much it was going to cost to replace it!

Totally off topic I know, but now I am browsing Ebay, and I can see that some rear spoilers are only 50 quid and others 250 quid... anyone tried the "cheapo" version?

Like you I was pretty stunned by the cost of a replacement, many places wanted more than £20 (including a breakers yard dealer) which felt like daylight robbery! I only found Fews were less than £16. Still quite a bit for what it is, surprised that there don't seem to be companies out there who make this sort of item for the tenner or less it ought to be.
