Ctek are highly regarded and can be used through the towing socket if you have a towbar, the MX 5 or whatever it's called is a good option. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

No you would just attach it to the battery terminals as normal, charging through the sockets alloys you to charge overnight or in inclement weather. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

You can get a connection that you fit permanantly to the battery so you just plug into that socket or one that fits the cigarette lighter socket. |

Ctek ones are great. I have one to keep the battery on my Classic Rangie topped up for the same reason as you. * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. Orkney Grey with privacy, cold and clearview packs, armrests (a must!) and a spoiler.

On my previous MY11 SD4 I used my Ctek MXS10 to charge the battery through the 12v accessory socket in the boot, this has a direct connection to the battery and still allowed me to close the rear door while charging.

This thread has reminded me to go into the garage and find mine, got a comfort lead with indicator lights must fit it tomorrow and give the battery a charge, wish I had. Towbar so much easier. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

Keep an eye on lidl's adverts, as they frequently have a smart battery charger for about £15. I've had one for a number of years, and have been lead to believe the electronics are identical to a Ctek. |
