New here, been lurking a bit while looking for a FL2, Have now picked up a MY2010 HSE auto in Lago Grey 3 weeks ago.
Enjoying it so far, 1st auto and Diesel i have ever owned a bit different from the CRV i had before.

I was originally looking for a FFRR but SWMBO wouldn't allow it, (toooo Big and i not sure i could have lived with 12mpg ).

So saying Hello and probably asking loads of silly questions soon.

Just signed up, been lurking here the last week or so, I just bought a 2009 HSE Si6 as the family runaround, black on black, all original with 113'000kms on the clock. It's pretty clean, won't pick it up until next weekend though cause it's getting some paintwork done (crows feet under the clearcoat on the tailgate) and a few scratches & door dings sorted.

A bit about me;

This is not my first Land Rover, I had a Series III Troop Carrier as a knockaround truck years ago

I'm a moderator on jaguarforums.com, been into Jags for a while so it felt right to keep it in the family & go for a Land Rover, although my own choice would have been a S/C RRS, but the wife didn't want something that big...oh well, I still have the XJR....

Already got a long list of things to do to this HSE, I guess some people would call it OEM+ type of modification, factory improved, nothing too crazy, and keeping it tasteful, like I've done with the Jags before.

Hi Just joined.
Any thoughts on this. Have a FL2 which gulped water just before Christmas. Result: engine tried to swallow airfilter which had become soggy. Now have singing turbo which I am told needs replacing. Ouch!
Does anyone have price for doing this?

Just registering here as we now have a Freelander2 in our family as well as a Defender.

Hoping to help as my knowledge grows in the future but a thanks too as I have already upgraded the steering wheel controls to cruise/radio thanks to a great thread. Also now sporting a set of take off Evoque wheels, all information learnt as I lurked

Well first (ish) post here ..been over on Disco forum for last 5 years

Just chopped the Disco 4 XS in and now the owner of a MY 13 HSE lux
Ex LR fleet car ..Orkney Gray with Factory privacy glass & tow bar.
14 months old with 11k on the clock

Must say am impressed so far and the fuel certainly goes down slower than in the Disco

Sorry this a really late intro to the forum as I joined mid February

At the beginning of February I bought a 2011 SD4 XS in Stowaway Grey to replace my leased Nissan Navara. I really enjoyed the Navara, its big, I could throw everything and the kitchen sink in the back and with the Chip from TDI Tuning I was getting 40MPG overall !

I thought I might have problems getting used to the Freelander as its a bit smaller that the 'Truck' but I am really enjoying it, its great fun to drive, has good presence on the road and is a lot easy to park.

It coped well with a long weekend in the Peak District and an unplanned drive over a field whilst house hunting in Cambridgeshire.

So far I have added a rear spoiler and Osram Nightrider Ultimate bulbs for both dip and main. The main issue I had was the driving position which did not help my bad back. I solved this with a visit to my local Mobility guy in Colchester who fabricated up some spacers for the drivers seat raising it by an inch which has given me a whole new perspective on life and stopped the back issues.

Next is a new back box with twin pipes like Mav71 and I am sure a few others, I would appreciate some help on where these can be bought.

When work permits, I'll clean the car and post some pic's.
