I have one that replaces a number plate light but don't have the sat nav,so I bought a mirror with a monitor fitted in it.The camera works fine and it has a nice wide angle so for the money I can't fault it. |

Where did you put the wirings? And is it easy to replace mirror? Behind the mirror should be this rain sensor? |

I ran the wires through the tailgate into the car and across the roof lining, the mirror is clip on so no problems with the sensors. |

The camera and monitor were bought from eBay, I took the power from the reversing lights for the camera and the monitor/mirror from the fuse box inside the car. It's only a small screen but I only have it for hitching my caravan so it's ideal for my needs.

It has been done to the LR Sat Nav screen but it is not straight forward.

Been thinking about fitting reversing camera on swmbos 57 plate GS seen this on the bay what do you guys and girls think, I will fit the monitor in the space where the sat nav goes and get a number plate camera rather than cut the bumper.

I had this monitor in my old disco 2 I fitted it the sun visor and it worked well. If you search the bay they are available without the camera for about £25 I would have had another for the freelander but I have already done the sat nav mod. |

Cheers Paul, was hoping someone would say the monitor is good, have my eye on a camera anyway so might just get the item anyway then I don't have to mess about sourcing the 6mtr cable and I can connect it to the other camera and keep the one in the box for something else |
