What happens if you double unlock? |

All the doors unlock but not the boot unfortunately. You have to use the boot opening button. Freelander 2 TD4e 2010

sounds like a faulty boot switch in the handle

You might well be right, maybe we just didn't notice the boot not opening correctly before the service. Freelander 2 TD4e 2010

Yep, you're right, it should only unlock with the key fob......that's the problem, it doesn't. You have to use the boot opening button on the key fob to unlock/open the boot. The boot doesn't react at all with the normal central locking unlock button. Freelander 2 TD4e 2010

Is this with both Fobs, just trying to rule out the Fob being the cause. |

As nick says, all the signs of the boot switch playing up, mine did exactly the same! |

No, the fob boot latch actually releases the tailgate, the central locking only unlocks it. |
