I'm new to the forum and get my first ever brand new freelander 2 td4 Gs in march . Very excited but still waiting for a confirmed date for delivery. Had a few extras like 18 inch alloys, privacy glass, spoiler, tow bar, armrest pack.

Forum looks like a great source for lots of useful info! Roll on March!!!

Brought up on LR,s in the Military and now driving a comfy Freelander MY13 in civvy street.
Alas,I could,nt find one in Disruptive Pattern so I bought a nice green one.

Hi, Just joined up. I bought a Freelander 2 one month ago as a replacement for the Defender that I'd owned for the last 8 years. Am loving the comfort, extra power and fuel economy! Even the dog is loving it - I always had to pick him up to get him into the back of the Defender, but he's leaping into the back of the new motor.

I moved from a TD5 to a FL2 and haven't regretted it for a moment. You will enjoy the comfort...and the economy! John

thanks for the reply. I am hopefully going to keep the TD5 until I am happy wth the FL2, the best of both worlds I am looking to move on my volvo s40, a good car but now to small for my needs. As luck would have it SWMBO wants an FL2 so the hard work is done! I will keep you posted, the hunt is on.

I bought my first freelander 2 2007 model last week and I am loving it. I had to sell my BMW 520d to get this one, but I am happy that I made the right choice

I am getting only 26mpg at the moment, but I only do short trips to work and local school runs. Hope it improves on longer runs, even if it doesn't I don't mind really.

I have just picked up a 2007 HSE Diesel Automatic - part exchange for my 2004 BMW Z4. First impressions are BRILLIANT!
