Rear Wiper won't stop!

Just done a search on this issue but can't find anything, so mustn't be a common fault!
My father's 08 plate SE Auto has a rear wiper which won't stop.
Mechanic had a quick look today around wiring of motor etc and all is OK...so has suggested a trip to an auto electrician.
Anyone had this before?

Not a problem at the moment here in Yorkshire as it won't stop raining. But it might stop one day Laughing

Thanks in advance

Mine packed up , but not had this issue.
Unplug until you get it sorted as I'm sure they have been known to set on fire Black FL2

Crikey. OK thanks for the heads up. Sounds like an unusual fault.

Sounds like the self park switch in the motor.
Ingress of water can cause the switch to seize or even break.
It's either pull the motor apart and see if it can be fixed or a new motor. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Thanks all, just thought I'd update. The auto-electrician has now fixed this. It was the stalk switch. Needed circuit board etc. Quite a costly affair....

Sounds like a faulty relay.

The circuit board from stalk was duff. Replaced and now fine. Yep by all accounts quite unusual (and yes unlucky!)
