Mine was built in Feb 2013 and it should apparently have a service book, but sales don't seem able to provide it (car is an ex-demo, and not registered until June).
I have downloaded the replacement book from TOPIx and will get thet stamped, plus keep all the bills!
If you use a LR dealer or approved shop the details will be kept on LR computer.

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Baltic Blue

Not wishing to cast aspersions, but it is well known within certain "larger" Dealerships that tend to employ unscrupulous Salesmen with stupidly large knots in their tie, that a blank Service Book is worth several hundred pounds to further unscrupulous Traders who try to pass a well used vehicle off as something else. This is why they go missing quite regularly, and presumably why LR have done away with them altogether. And about time too IMHO......now, if only they could revisit their national Dealer Network and sort the wheat from the chaff there as well!! Foraging near Gaydon....

Latest quote from TVLR in Gateshead - 」239.55. That includes a courtesy car (not a LR - probably a small Toyota). Not a dealer but LR approved service centre. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

A very good price, I had my service done at a landrover dealership and because I know the dealer pricipal he knocked off 」20 an hour labour gave me discount on the parts,I supplied the correct 934 spec oil and it still cost me 」230,which is very upsetting because I am a mechanic but need that little landrover stamp in the book! Big Cry

Last time I compared TVLR with my (then) local service centre in S London, their full quote was only slightly more than the other dealer's quote for the parts and oil alone. Plus they get a very good press on here. I'm not local to them, but since I spend a lot of time in the north-east I get them to do the job when I'm up there. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone

FR2 TD4 GS - Gone

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

Had my Freelander's 2nd service done by Guy Salmon in Ascot late last year and was very happy with the service. While there they fixed a couple of niggles under warrantee without any questions asked (one issue was a blocked washer jet, couldn't figure out how that would be covered but they just replaced it). I would certainly recommend them.

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Orkney Grey

Just had my car (14 plate) in for its first service - 」257 at Guy Salmon in Bristol.

I waited for it (didn't plan far enough in advance, otherwise they would have collected and returned it) - had a look at the Discovery Sport - don't know whether I like it or not.

But anyway, service seemed good value although it is expensive when you look at the service plans they do for some of the other models now.

Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Fuji White

Very fortunate main dealer I use allows me to supply own oil. Usually buy 12 litres Mobil 1 or Magnatec (3x4L) for about 」95.00. This does 2 services. Dealer charges, and don't ask how they come by this, 13 units at 」5.95 per unit plus vat = 」92.82. Also have a loyalty discount, 4th Freelander and previous CRV's from same company.
Last first service was 」165. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.
