I could highly recommend a location in the Perigord Noir if you fancied a nice quite relaxing holiday, lovely countryside to drive through, caves to explore, fishing, lovely food, great restaurants etc etc. It's a great place for the FL2, I'll be taking mine next year  ______________________

It is after all a rather big investment and with the internet era today is it worth?

I think they are a far investment of fund mine was £13500 + £1000 for the electric mover, I think its worth the investment, I plan to plan to keep the caravan for many years to come.

They hold there equity reasonably well, you still pay lots of money for a 10 year old van, which would still have many a holiday left in it too

I don't think the Internet ere comes into it, Though i have been to a couple of online casinos, it doesn't mean i've had a holiday in Las Vegas

I can fully understand the pleasures of holidaying in a big field, so the kids can run around while the parents relax a little, have BBQ etc.
BUT the draw backs must be the expense, slow journeys, pitching the thing, living in it. storing it when not using it, having to prepare it before the holiday/clean it after, also farmers throwing at you as you pass

In the right campsite I'm sure the pleasure makes up for some of these drawbacks. But I have yet to see a van site which appeals ( not that I see many). Personally I would rather book a holiday cottage each year , (cheers ukdave )

Presently I am in shock as one of my best mates has fitted a towbar to his car and is borrowing a c van to go on holiday with . I'm sure he wont do it again  At work
